Data Deletion Instructions
ContentSling is a content workspace. A person who uses it (an "operator") connects their own social media accounts and schedules their own content to be published to them. This page explains how to remove that connection and how to have stored data deleted. You can cut off ContentSling's access yourself, immediately, without contacting anyone.
Option 1: revoke access from the platform
This is the fastest route, it takes effect straight away, and it works even if you cannot sign in to ContentSling.
- Facebook and Instagram: open Settings and privacy, then Business integrations, select ContentSling, and choose Remove.
- Threads, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, Bluesky: each platform has an equivalent connected apps or authorized apps screen in its own account settings.
Revoking access there makes the stored token useless at once. ContentSling can no longer read from or publish to that account. To have the stored token record erased as well, use Option 2.
Option 2: delete your ContentSling account and all its data
To have everything erased, email privacy@contentsling.com from the address on your account with the subject Delete my data. Requests are actioned within 30 days, and in practice much sooner. You will get written confirmation when it is done.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in details.
- All connected account credentials and access tokens.
- Your workspaces, scheduled and draft content, captions, and uploaded media.
- Comment and reply records held for the accounts you connected.
- Any profile information received from a platform, such as the account handle and page or profile identifiers.
What cannot be deleted this way
Posts that were already published to a social platform live on that platform, not in ContentSling. Deleting your ContentSling data does not remove them. To take those down, delete them on the platform itself, or from within ContentSling before you delete the account.
A small amount of information may be kept where the law requires it, for example billing records. It is not used for any other purpose.
