Questions about the plans

What is a workspace?

One brand and the set of social accounts it posts to. Every plan includes one. If you run content for other people you need one per client.

Extra workspaces are half your plan price each: $15 on Solo, $25 on Studio, $50 on Agency. They carry your plan's features, so a second brand on Studio still gets short video, and a second brand on Agency still gets your team.

Why is video only on Studio?

Video is the expensive half of this. Reels and shorts are rendered, uploaded and polled until each platform finishes processing them, which costs a great deal more than posting a picture. Solo covers images, carousels, memes and text posts. Studio adds short video, and everything above Studio includes it.

Can I post long videos?

No. ContentSling publishes short vertical video: reels, shorts and TikToks. That is the shape every platform here takes, and it is what one piece of content can become on all of them at once. A twenty minute video is a different job and we do not pretend to do it.

Why does YouTube need Studio?

Because YouTube publishes video and nothing else. There is no way to put a still image, a carousel or a text post on it, so a plan without video would connect a YouTube account that could never publish anything. Rather than sell you that, we put YouTube where it works.

Why does X have a monthly credit limit?

Because X is the only platform here that charges us for every post. The others are free to publish to; X is not, and it costs more than thirteen times as much when a post contains a link. So every plan includes a monthly pot of X credits: 200 on Solo, 500 on Studio, 1,000 on Agency. A post costs 1 credit. A post carrying a link costs 8, which is what the difference actually is rather than a penalty we invented.

Posting to X once a day uses about 30 credits a month, so if you post plain text you will not come near the limit on any plan. Links are what change the maths: at 8 credits each, Solo is 25 link posts in a month and Studio is 62. If most of your X posts carry a link, that is the number to look at rather than the big one. Everything else on every platform stays at zero credits, permanently: those APIs are free and charging you for them would be inventing a shortage.

Do I get X credits on the free trial?

Yes, five of them. Enough to connect X, publish, and see it work on your own account before you decide anything. They are there to get you started rather than to last a month. When they run out your X posts wait, and they go out shortly after the trial ends and your plan begins. Everything else keeps publishing the whole time.

What happens if I use all my X credits?

Your X posts wait, and nothing is lost. They stay written and scheduled and go out on their own when the credits reset at the start of the next month. Every other platform keeps publishing normally the whole time.

If you need them out sooner there are two ways. You can add 100 credits for $12 CAD from your dashboard, and the waiting posts go out within a few minutes. Those credits never expire. Or you can move up a plan in Settings, which raises your credits for the rest of the month straight away, and the waiting posts go out within a few minutes. Adding credits is for workspaces already on a plan. On the free trial, your posts go out when the trial ends and your plan begins.

You are never charged automatically for going over. You can see exactly where you are on your calendar, and we email you at 50%, 80% and 95% so it is never a surprise.

Why does ContentSling strip links out of my X posts?

Money, and we would rather say so plainly. X charges roughly 1.5 cents for a post and 20 cents for a post containing a link. On a plan at this price that difference does not survive contact with reality, so by default X posts point people at your profile instead of carrying a link. There is no setting for this, because at twenty cents a post there is no version of it we would recommend. If you type a link into a caption yourself it still goes out, and it costs 8 credits instead of 1.

Can my team share a workspace?

On Agency, yes. Everyone gets their own login and works the same brand, with one shared review queue, so whoever is around can approve what is waiting. Connected accounts belong to the workspace, not to the person who connected them, so nobody is a single point of failure.

Is there a free trial?

Every plan starts with seven days free. We take a card at signup and charge nothing until the week is up, so cancelling on day six costs you nothing. You get a reminder before it renews, because a surprise charge buys us one angry refund and no customer. Prices are in Canadian dollars.

If video is what you came for, say so and we will start you on Studio instead. A week of Solo will not show you what you wanted to see.

Do I pay per post?

No. Plans are a flat monthly price and posting more does not cost more.

Do extra platforms cost extra?

No. Connecting a fifth or sixth account does not change the price. The only platform tied to a plan is YouTube, for the reason above.

Can I change plan later?

Yes, up or down, from Settings, and you keep everything you have already scheduled. Moving up takes effect straight away: we charge the difference for the rest of the month you are in, and the new price starts at your next billing date. Moving down takes effect at your next billing date, so you keep what you have paid for until then. On the free trial you can switch plan for free, and the new price starts when the trial ends.
